Tip-induced superconductivity

چکیده
It is widely believed that topological superconductivity, a hitherto elusive phase of quantum matter, can be achieved by inducing superconductivity in materials. In search such superconductors, certain insulators (like, Bi$_2$Se$_3$) were successfully turned into superconductors metal-ion (Cu, Pd, Sr, Nb etc. ) intercalation. Superconductivity could induced materials through applying pressure as well. for example, pressure-induced superconducting was found the insulator Bi$_2$Se$_3$. However, all cases, no conclusive signature found. this review, we will discuss about another novel way non-superconducting material -- creating mesoscopic interface on with non-superconducting, normal metallic tip where becomes superconducting. Such now known tip-induced (TISC) phase. This first seen 2014 Cd$_3$As$_2$ at IISER Mohali, India. Following that, large number other shown to display TISC. Since TISC emerges only confined region under point contact, traditional bulk tools characterizing cannot employed detect/confirm On hand, contact geometry ideal probing possible existence temperature and magnetic field dependent energy gap critical current. We review details experimental signatures used prove even when "text-book" tests detecting performed. Then, different systems realized.

Superconductivity Induced by Negative Centers
We study the effect of random dilution of attraction centers on electron pairing in a generalization of the negative U Hubbard model where the interaction Ui, defined on the two dimensional lattice, can be −|U | and 0 with probability c and 1− c depending on the lattice site i. Using the determinant quantum Monte Carlo approach, we find the critical concentration c0 of negative centers which le...
متن کاملProximity-induced superconductivity in DNA.
Conductivity measurements on double-stranded DNA molecules deposited by a combing process across a submicron slit between rhenium/carbon metallic contacts reveal conduction to be ohmic between room temperature and 1 kelvin. The resistance per molecule is less than 100 kilohm and varies weakly with temperature. Below the superconducting transition temperature (1 kelvin) of the contacts, proximit...
متن کاملPhonon Anomalies Induced by Superconductivity
We calculate the electronic polarizability in the superconducting state near extremum vectors ~ Q0 of the Fermi surface. A pole appears in the polarizability at frequencies ω near the superconducting gap 2∆ which leads to a sharp peak at ω just below 2∆ in the lattice vibrations near ~ Q0. A second order transition to a charge density wave state below the superconducting transition is shown to ...
متن کاملMass-Induced Crystalline Color Superconductivity
We demonstrate that crystalline color superconductivity may arise as a result of pairing between massless quarks and quarks with nonzero mass ms. Previous analyses of this phase of cold dense quark matter have all utilized a chemical potential difference δμ to favor crystalline color superconductivity over ordinary BCS pairing. In any context in which crystalline color superconductivity occurs ...
متن کاملPressure induced superconductivity in CaFe2As2.
CaFe2As2 has been found to be exceptionally sensitive to the application of hydrostatic pressure and can be tuned to reveal all the salient features associated with FeAs superconductivity without introducing any disorder. The ambient pressure, 170 K, structural/magnetic, first-order phase transition is suppressed to 128 K by 3.5 kbar. At 5.5 kbar a new transition is detected at 104 K, increasin...
